Controls Field Service, Commissioning & Startup
When equipment is down or a new system needs to start up, you need technicians on site who know controls. Complete Controls Services, LLC (CCS) provides controls field service, troubleshooting, commissioning and startup for boilers, burners and process equipment. CCS was founded in 2017 by technicians, and field work is at the core of what we do. Based in Blair, Nebraska, we emphasize the Midwest and travel to customer sites across the United States.
Our Field Services
Controls Troubleshooting
Trips, alarms, erratic control and communication failures are where our technicians spend much of their time. We work through PLC logic, HMI and SCADA, instruments, wiring and field devices to find the root cause and get you running.
Commissioning
CCS has performed initial commissioning, retrofits and controls upgrades of many different systems. Commissioning includes I/O checkout, instrument verification, safety device checks and functional testing of control sequences.
Startup Support
We support startup of new and modified systems, adjusting logic and tuning loops as the process comes online so your operators are confident before we leave.
Combustion Tuning in the Field
Field visits on fired equipment can include combustion tuning and emissions tuning for boilers, dryers, HRSGs and heaters.
Calibration and Loop Tuning
We perform on-site calibration and loop tuning, using our own certified equipment or customer provided equipment.
Field Modifications
When processes change, we make field modifications to instruments, wiring, panels and programs on new and existing systems.

What to Expect When We Arrive
Our technicians arrive prepared to work: laptops loaded with programming software for major platforms, test and calibration equipment, and the experience to work across logic, instruments and combustion. We start by talking with your operators and maintenance staff about what they've seen, then work methodically to isolate the problem. We keep you informed as we go, explain what we found and what we did, and leave notes on anything that should be addressed later. If parts or a larger fix are needed, we lay out the options and help you plan the next step.
For planned work such as startups and commissioning, we coordinate ahead of time with your team and other contractors so the schedule stays on track.
